Designed for iPhone and iPod touch and compatible with iPad, DoseMinder assists you in scheduling and tracking doses of medication. DoseMinder provides a straightforward common sense interface to encourage continual use by keeping it easy and simple to use. Neither Wi-Fi nor cellular network is used.
DoseMinder has the following features:
• Quick entry of medication information.
• List of medications with their times to be taken.
• Notifications when to take medication.
• History of medication doses.
Medication dosage information is represented by a Dose Reminder. The information required to add a Dose Reminder is:
• Name of the person taking the medication: Ryan, Jane, Bill, ...
• Name of the medication: aspirin, cough syrup, ear drops, ...
• Amount of medication to be taken: 2 pills, 2 tbsp, 1 pill, 1 drop ...
• Frequency in units (minutes/hours/days/weeks) to take the medication: 6, 12, 24, ...
• The last time the medication was taken, or the time of the next dose.
Dose Reminders can be entered in for one or more people and medications. All the data resides on the device and is never sent to a remote server, so there is no need for a Wi-Fi or cellular connection.
DoseMinder displays a list of Active Dose Reminders, which is a list of: who is taking the medication, what medication is being taken, and when the next dose of medication is to be taken. Active Dose Reminders can be taken early or canceled and given the option to be scheduled again by a simple tap of a button instead of having to add a new Dose Reminder.
When a dose of medication is to be taken, referred to as Triggered Dose Reminder in the app, DoseMinder will display a notification on the device. Triggered Dose Reminders can be taken or skipped and given the option to be scheduled again by a simple tap of a button instead of having to add a new Dose Reminder.
DoseMinder keeps a history of taken, canceled, and skipped Dose Reminders by person and medication.
